Miracote waterproofing alternative to Rip out & Replace
Having been in the crack repair business since the 80's, we have confidence in our approach to all sorts of crack repair. With these newer cracks relating to ASR, we hit a snag. Regular crack repair methods don't seem to work. But we have found success in using Miracote products as an alternative to just ripping out and replacing the entire pool.
Using a line of Miracote products, we have found a reliable system of waterproofing that has proven adept at allowing ASR affected pools to retain water and continue to function as intended months after a dreaded ASR diagnosis.
Keep in mind, this Miracote system is not a 100% guarantee there will be no further leaking but it is definitely worth a shot if you're looking for a more modestly priced solution.
The Process
The Miracote waterproofing process is relatively simple. We start out with chipping out the plaster and preparing the shell for the application of Miracote mesh. Once prepared, we layer on several materials to ensure the pool is waterproof. After all the appropriate materials are layered, we proceed with adding waterline tile and plaster.
